WAND (Working-memory Adaptive-fatigue with N-back Difficulty): A Method for Inducing Cognitive Fatigue Manuscript in prep Scope: Empirical validation of the WAND protocol, a novel open-source framework for inducing active cognitive fatigue. The study demonstrates the protocol's ability to systematically control for common confounds, for example learning effects and monotony, to produce a reliable decline in working memory performance at the behavioural level.
